The Balkan Yankee

This box of tea caught my eye in London a couple years ago and a friend who knew this gave me one (full) last year. There is a detail if you click through to my flickr page above. It has a lovely early 20th century style illustration of… a tea party? Great typography as well. It’s reminiscent of P22’s Constructivist, especially with the triangular cross-bar in the A. I’m guessing it is actually a custom type job though, because I can’t find a match for the K.

Oh, and the tea tastes great too. It’s a pure Rooibos “Red Bush” in Afrikaans grown only in a small region of South Africa.
